WEAPONS TRAINING
BASIC CARBINE
This comprehensive 2-day firearms training course introduces the student to the AR-15 / M-4 rifle. During this course, students will learn about one of the most popular weapon systems that law enforcement agencies across the country are authorizing for patrol duty use. Students will become familiar with the AR-15 / M-4 rifle. He/she will learn the basic gun-handling skills necessary to safely operate, and maintain, this weapon system. Instruction will include the deployment and application of this platform for personal defense.
Students will also learn nomenclature, disassembly / reassembly, mechanical operation, care & cleaning, preventive maintenance, zeroing iron sights, shooting positions, and much more.
Course duration: 2 days (16 hours)
(Tuition fee includes all range fees)
Loaner rifle: $75.00
Course student limit: 16
Student requirements: Note pad and pen, eye protection, ear protection, baseball type cap, AR-15 or M-4 type rifle (5.56) with iron sights, sling and at least 3 magazines, elbow pads, knee pads and gun cleaning kit.
(Body armor is optional unless it is required by your agency during firearms training)
Recommended equipment: Rifle magazine carriers, rain gear, sunscreen, insect repellent, hydration system, water and clothing suitable for contact with the ground.
Ammunition requirements: 800 rounds of .223 / 5.56 rifle ammunition prior to the course. (Ammunition is available for purchase upon request ahead of time)
Ammunition must be new manufacture (Federal, Remington, Winchester, etc.)
Absolutely no reloaded or remanufactured ammunition!

LEVEL I PISTOL PROFICIENCY
Level I Pistol Proficiency is based in handgun fundamentals and oriented toward defensive use of the weapon. If you have no experience, or 40 years of experience, you will come away with greater confidence and a better understanding of your ability! He/she will learn the basic gun-handling skills and advanced necessary to safely operate, and maintain, this weapon system. Instruction will include the deployment and application of this platform for personal defense.
Course duration: 1 days (8 + hours)
(Tuition fee includes all range fees and use of loaner firearms)
Course student limit: 16
Student requirements: Note pad and pen, eye protection, ear protection, baseball type cap, Pistol, 3 magazines, elbow pads, knee pads and gun cleaning kit.
(Body armor is optional unless it is required by your agency during firearms training)
Recommended equipment: Holster, magazine carriers, rain gear, sunscreen, insect repellent, hydration system, water and clothing suitable for contact with the ground.
